Apple has released iOS 18.5 Beta 1 to developers. Following the public release of iOS 18.4 earlier this week, the tech giant has now started testing the iOS 18.5 update. The first beta is currently available to developers and will soon be released to beta testers, as early as later today.
Today, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.5 Beta 1, watchOS 11.5 Beta 1, tvOS 18.5 Beta 1, macOS Sequoia 15.5 Beta 1, and visionOS 2.5 Beta 1.
The iOS 18.5 Beta 1 is available with build number 22F5042g. At least on iPhone 13, it weighs around 7GB. Since this is the first beta update, you can expect it to include some new features and changes.

As the iOS 18.5 Beta update has just been released, we’re still exploring all the changes. Once we spot new features and changes, we’ll update them below. If you’ve found new features, please share them with us in the comments section.
The iOS 18.5 Beta is available to developers with eligible iPhone models, including iPhone Xr and newer. To get the first beta on your device, make sure to opt for beta or developer beta from Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. When you select iOS 18 beta, the first beta will appear immediately in Software Update for download.
