Overview :
MapCast gives you a simple way to email or tweet your current location.
Your location is determined using the same technology as the Maps application, and to ensure accuracy, is shown on the screen before sending to anyone else.
The links sent via email or updated on your twitter page are in a compressed format, such as:

The link will redirect whoever clicks on it to the Google Maps web site.
This link format allows shorter messages which are easier to email and to post to Twitter.
