Apple has released a new small incremental update iOS 16.1.1 update to all iOS 16 users. There was another update yesterday but it was a beta update for developers, and the same update is now available for public beta users starting today. The new incremental update is not available for iPhone users who have already updated their devices to the iOS 16.2 beta build. Along with the iOS 16.1.1 update, Apple also released iPadOS 16.1.1, macOS 13.0.1, and iOS 16.2 Public Beta 2. The new incremental update for iOS comes with build number 20B101. The update is available at around 300MB.
Talking about changes the iOS 16.1.1 update is focused on bug fixes and security improvements. These types of updates come with critical security updates and are always recommended to all users who are on its previous build.
There are some small changes that are highlights of this update. A new State ‘Colorado’ is available under Driver’s License or State ID in Apple Wallet. This means iPhone users from Colorado will be able to store their IDs in Apple Wallet.
There is another change but only for users in China. In AirDrop settings, the option to share Everyone option now changed to Everyone for 10 Minutes. It is not available to users outside China.
